Message from the Director

  • I would like to welcome each child, parent, and prospective family to Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Child Development Center. We consider it an honor and a privilege that you have entrusted the care of your child to the staff here at Steele Creek.

It is our desire to unite with each family to ensure that your child develops to their fullest potential through fun and exciting learning experiences. We provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the whole child. Planted within the framework of our philosophy and purpose, the curriculum includes: sharing and conversation time, stories, songs and finger plays, Bible lessons, creative art activities and crafts, science and nature activities, field trips, exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and celebrations of different events throughout the year.

Another aspect of our program is Family Involvement. At Steele Creek, we stand firm on the ideal that it takes a village to raise a child. We provide Open Houses, Holiday Celebrations, Free Parent Workshops, and various other opportunities for you to be involved in your child’s experiences at Steele Creek. Volunteering is also rewarding so please let us know if you would be interested in volunteering some of your time here at the center.

Steele Creek has an Open Door Policy that we extend to our families. You can feel free to come visit your child and their classroom at anytime.

We look forward to developing a special relationship with each child, parent ,and family at our center. Please feel free to call us at the office (704-588-1292).
